Small POX

Name: Smallpox (Ex)
Infection DC: 18 (Contact, Inhalation)
Incubation: 1-4 days
Damage: Nauseated or exhausted, possible ability damage
Smallpox may have been eradicated in our world, but during the Middle Ages it was an unrepentant killer. Known as alastrim, cotton pox, white pox, and milk pox, it was common throughout the history of the world. (In later years it may have been known as the Cuban itch.)
It causes fever, muscle pain, headache, nausea, and vomiting; within 12-15 days small white lesions appear in and around the mouth, these will grow and rupture. The white lesions may spread across the body and then stop.
If the PC fails the check by more than 5 points, s/he becomes exhausted instead of fatigued.
If the PC fails the check by more than 10 points, s/he suffers 1d6 Con damage.

1 check a week around small pox, one check per day if near day. If caught, no ability recovery until healed (unless recovred via treament, magical or otherwise),  with 1d8 checks over the course of the disease (1 indicates non leathal version, 6 and higher indicate the deadly version has been caught. While it is possible to die from the weaker versions, its unlikely (since less than 50 percent of checks will result in con loss, and 3 or more critical faluires are necessary to fail?

Standard Dark Ages treatments will not cure the ailment, but will allow a recovery of 1 con per day at a DC check of 26 (-5 to checks 1.1). Druids recovery at same dificulty but recovery 1d3 con.
